This bug has been fixed in SVN.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at

In PHP_5_2 you get this error and no crash:
Warning: call_user_func(parent::__construct): First argument is
expected to be a valid callback..
