Hi Jason,
thank you for reporting the issue. I reproduced the problem; it seems
indeed to be broken along the way from version 1.2.2 ( I also tried the
compatibility mode). I apologize, I'll take this as bug report on my list.
In the meantime, you may want to consider
extra description/.append code={%
\node[anchor=west] at (axis cs:10,6.25) {Extra Label};
},
which allows to place the desired description manually (which might be
better than nothing).
