My bad, in your initial message, you mentioned the HYPRE_BoomerAMGSetInterpType() API, but I guess you meant to write HYPRE_BoomerAMGSetAggInterpType()? This is indeed not interfaced right now, but you could copy what’s currently done for -pc_hypre_boomeramg_interp_type and submit an MR.
