Have you ever learnt from short videos, maybe while commuting on a bus or sitting in a café? We believe this is possible. For this reason, we have created an exciting free massive open online course (MOOC) that explains and illustrates the Fundamentals of Business Process Management. You can even earn a certificate. Just enrol at https://moocs.qut.edu.au/learn/fundamentals-of-bpm-october-2015. The course will start on 12 October.
Marlon Dumas, Marcello La Rosa, Jan Mendling and Hajo Reijers, authors of the successful textbook “Fundamentals of Business Process Management”, will guide you through this course in person. During 7 weeks, you will watch videos and do online quizzes along the Business Process Management (BPM) lifecycle. You can watch the videos/do the quizzes at your own pace within each week, with a workload of 2-4 hours per week. And you can also catch up with videos and quizzes from previous weeks. Processes are everywhere and the course will show you how to systematically model, analyze, redesign, automate and monitor them. The techniques and tools you get to know are generally applicable in any domain that you can think of – let it be public organizations, schools, banks, logistics, healthcare or production companies, to name but a few. Not to forget, it will be great fun! You can find a flyer for this MOOC at https://goo.gl/qDU8SC. Please forward this email to your colleagues, students and business contacts. They are all very welcome to join! We are looking forward to meeting you in class, online!
