            Bug ID: 2452964
           Summary: perl-XML-Parser 2.51-1.fc43 break compatibility
           Product: Fedora
           Version: 43
          Hardware: x86_64
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
         Component: perl-XML-Parser
          Severity: high
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
        QA Contact: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected],
                    [email protected], [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---
    Classification: Fedora

Description of problem:

Upgrading perl-XML-Parser to version 2.51-1.fc43 completely breaks RemoteBox
for example and potentially other things. RemoteBox's error handling routines
are triggered incorrectly such as on a HTTP 200 status code being treated as an
error.

RemoteBox does not use perl-XML-Parser directly, but uses perl-SOAP-Lite, so
it's possible that the new perl-XML-Parser is NOT compatible with the current
version of perl-SOAP-Lite shipped with Fedora.

RemoteBox 3.7 works perfectly fine with perl-XML-Parser-2.47-8.fc43.x86_64
RemoteBox 3.4 shipped with fedora works fine with
perl-XML-Parser-2.47-8.fc43.x86_64 but fails in the same way

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
perl-XML-Parser.x86_64 2.51-1.fc43

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run remotebox and connect to a server
2. Errors out
3.

Actual results:
Errors out with an error diaglog showing 200 OK

Expected results:
Logs into the remote server
