In the coming week or so, I'll be finishing up a beta version for PEBL
2.0, and make packages available. There are a lot of massive improvements
to the underlying architecture, but not many that are too visible yet.
The shift to the 2.0 series is being done because (1) I'm moving from the
SDL 1 gaming library to SDL2, which permits hardware accelerated graphics,
sync to the video signal for more precise timing of visual stimuli, and
better support for international languages/input; and (2) because the
syntax is breaking backward compatibility with older PEBL versions. This
is mostly reflecting that PEBL 2.0 scripts might not run on the 0.X
series, but there will be some 1.0 scripts that won't run on 2.0 without
minor tweaks. Once 2.0 is out, I'll probably release a minor update to to
0.X series that will be called 1.0.

One of the big things this will offer is support for the most recent few
versions of OSX. For some reason, newer OSX versions broke compatibility
with SDL 1 libraries, and since the SDL community is focused on 2.0,
nobody has fixed these issues. Because this rendered PEBL unusable on
newer versions of OSX (probably 10.9+) I'm making a pre-release package
available for any OSX users who have been waiting and asking for it:

Stay tuned for a full release of 2.0 beta on windows and OSX in the next
week or so.

Best,
Shane

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!
