Dear PEBL,
My name is Dustin Clark, I am a graduate student in the College of Engineering
at Boston University and a Research Assistant at the Institute for the
Bio-Cultural Study of Religion (IBCSR). I am in the process of organizing a
database comprised of the available web-based self-administered
neuropsychological tests and I was fortunate enough to discover your website.
The intentions of this database are two-fold. Our first intention is to provide
a document that can serve as a "public clearing house" of information
accessible to anyone researching neuropsychological tests. Our second intention
is to collaborate with some of the available web-based self-administered
neuropsychological tests in order to pursue certain scientific investigations
involving the domains captured by your cognitive tests.
The IBCSR was established by Boston University professors in Neuroscience and
Theology in order to explore how the interconnectivity between biology and
culture can be illustrated by the neuropsychological and religious explanations
of behavior. The IBCSR runs the website www.exploringmyreligion.org (EMR) where
the public can freely access and complete specific web-based self-administered
tests to assess individual differences among religious beliefs, behaviors, and
experiences (RBBE). We would like to provide web-based self-administered
neuropsychological tests alongside of these RBBE tests on EMR in order to
concurrently collect data of each individual's scores on specific cognitive
tests with his or her scores on the RBBE tests.
Would you be interested in sharing your cognitive tests with us to help us
further our research? Part of our vision at the IBCSR is to promote academic
outreach to build professional networks and we would be very interested in
working with you. Please let me know if you have any questions about our work
or would like more details about how we could work together. I have included
links to our institute as well as to the profiles for the founders of the
IBCSR, Dr. Patrick McNamara and Dr. Wesley Wildman. I hope you have a great day
and I look forward to hearing back from you, Thank you very much for your time,
Best wishes,
Dustin Clark
