In re "* The ability to add custom tags[2] to RPZ hits." What is the best way to give some specific feedback / feature improvement requests?
Specifically, as I posed on a previous question. it would be extremely useful to identify precisely which rule in the RPZ has caused the hit. So far as I can see that isn't stored anywhere in the dq object which makes it hard to do via lua scripting Regards Francis ________________________________ From: Pdns-dev <pdns-dev-boun...@mailman.powerdns.com> on behalf of Otto Moerbeek via Pdns-dev <pdns-...@mailman.powerdns.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 22, 2020 2:26 PM To: pdns-users@mailman.powerdns.com; pdns-annou...@mailman.powerdns.com; pdns-...@mailman.powerdns.com Subject: [Pdns-dev] First Alpha Release of PowerDNS Recursor 4.4.0 Hello!, We are proud to announce the first alpha release of what should become PowerDNS Recursor 4.4.0. This release contains various bug fixes, improvements and new features. The most important new features are * Native DNS64[1] support, without the need to use Lua. * The ability to add custom tags[2] to RPZ hits. * To allow more efficient use, the record cache is now shared between threads. * A routing tag[3] can be added in Lua code, which will be used as an additional record cache key instead of of an EDNS subnet mask, enabling for a more simple record cache structure which will enhance query processing where the EDNS subnet mask is relevant. * The Proxy Protocol version 2 has been implemented to allow for a structured exchange of information between a client (typically dnsdist) and the Recursor. See the documentation[4] for details. Please refer to the changelog[5] for additional details. The tarball[6] (signature[7]) is available at [8] and packages for CentOS 6, 7 and 8, Debian Stretch and Buster, Ubuntu Xenial and Bionic are available from our repository[9]. Please send us all feedback and issues you might have via the mailing list[10], or in case of a bug, via GitHub[11].
