There are a number of ways to achieve this. Recommend you have a look at
this;

Which is a listing of all the gmysql- options you could apply to your
configuration.

There are two methods right away.

1. Create an ON DELETE trigger that moves the records to another table
2. Add an enabled field on the domain or records table and alter the select
used
