things with PowerDNS.

Can you try doubling the \, so:

100 0 "u" "E2U+sip" "!^\\+([0-9][0-9][0-9])$!sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" .

I did actually try this, I should have mentioned - the problem then is
that the double-backslash is passed verbatim, so the record is sent with
two slashes...

I will retry this in the morning to confirm.
