Wayne, You can use it but only on lenses which are designed for the same distance between mount and film-plane. If you want to use lenses designed for rangefindercamera's also beware of the controlcam of the lens (it interfaces with the rangefinder in the correct camera) it could touch the mirror of the camera. I know only of some old russian lenses for Zenit camera's that uses the same film-mount distance and are 39mm. All other 39mm lenses you not only loose infinity focus but anything will be out of focus except for very close objects. You can only focus on macro-distances and those lenses are everything but corrected for macro-use.
