I had one of those with Supertaks 55/2 and 135/3.5 which I used from 1962 until 1992 when the cloth shutter ripped. I bought a Praktica MTL5B body with built in meter so I could still use the lenses. Added an ME Super later. Sold the Praktika combo to a lady in CapeTown when I went digital in 2013. The defunct S1a is now the subject of a table lamp.

A Pentax S1a that George owned sold at auction for £4,750.

The fourth picture in this little gallery is, I think, meant to show him 
fiddling about with it - which I assume is why the first picture shows the lens 
cap upside down. However the camera in the fourth picture seems to me to be an 
SV, not an S1a.
