I remember overhearing a couple of young Aussies in Greenwich once: “jeez, I can’t wait to get back, I’m sick to death of old buildings”. Must have been from Perth. I have distant relatives in Perth. Of course, anyone in Perth is distant, but you know what I mean.
I’d recommend somewhere in Melbourne but I left in 1958 so my recommendation wouldn’t extend much beyond the maternity ward.
