I do think UPS has upped their game over the past 10-15 years. It used
to be if you wanted residential deliveries they were worse than useless,
in fact one time when I was trying to get a parcel delivered the
customer service agent told me that they were ill equipped for that
particular service.
As Dan mentioned, there are going to be regional differences, some will
be better, some not so much.
