Joy had a conference in Minneapolis, and we visited friends in Rochester (~90 min south) afterwards. We took an excursion to Lake Pepin, where the Mississippi River dilates to over two miles wide for 21 miles. On the way we stopped at an eagle rehab facility, where three permanent residents (unable to live in the wild) were on display.
