Excellent pic! The almost-black sky, whitecapping sea, and bright colorful ship
work very well together.

Thanks, Rick.

It reminds me of a pre-Chunnel trip we took. Returning to Dover, the crossing
took over 4 hours. People were getting seasick everywhere. The last hour of the
trip was spent going back and forth outside the Dover harbor, waiting for the
wind to die down enough to dock safely.

We've had the same experience in the opposite direction, during a
snow-storm in early 96. The biggest barf orgy I've ever whitnessed.

While we were bobbing up and down outside of Calais, a really big wave
hit the vessel and the whole content of the bar came down, glasses,
bottles and all.

Meanwhile, Michael was eating his cookies out of a *clean* sick bag. He
found that very funny, the people aroud us less so, and he pushed a few
more over the brink.

When we drove out of the ferry, Calais looked more like Vladivostok.

All in all great fun if we hadn't smashed up the car on the way from
Calais to our hotel in Boulogne.
