If I'm going to take the FA 600/4 I've got a folding hand-truck that carries the crate, tripod, Gimbal Head & the "camera bag" for other equipment.

Camera body (K-1) on my hip with a Sun Sniper sling & my walking around 28-70/2.8. Lowe Pro bag (K-3, lenses & accessories) on my back.

Not going to be traipsing around in the woods with it, but I can get from a parking lot to a suitable "tripod hole" to set it up ... like the North Carolina Zoo or Sylvan Heights bird park.

PS: "camera bag" - https://www.amazon.com/EarthWise-Piece-Insulated-Grocery-Bag/dp/B07JJHDBRX/ref=sr_1_24?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&keywords=Kitchen+Reusable+Grocery+Bags&qid=1636326257&refinements=p_89%3AEarthwise&rnid=2528832011&s=kitchen&sr=1-24&ts_id=1252210011

Not this particular model, but something similar that I bought from the supermarket several years ago while grocery shopping. It's kind of a stealth camera bag.

I have several of them & they also make great luggage for spare clothes when I'm going to be away from home for a few nights.

I usually have several of them in the car with the "camera" bag down on the bottom layer so if someone did break in to my car they'd find those that have jeans & T-shirts & toiletries first and hopefully give up before digging down to the real goodies.

I haven't used mine in quite awhile. Gave up hauling it around in the woods
years ago. Last time I used it was close to my car. Probably will be looking to
sell in the future.

I wish it was only 20 pounds of gear. I finally acquired the FA 600/4 and it's 40+ pounds all by itself. Covid isn't the only reason I don't get out much anymore. On 11/7/2021 6:32 AM, Paul Stenquist wrote:
Consider also that many of us have grown old and infirm since the list was
founded more than twenty years ago. We don’t need excuses for not tramping
through the woods with 20 pounds af gear.

I am impressed that the photographers on this list have advanced so far that
they no longer make excuses for the mistakes they made in their pictures and
have reached the platonic ideal of making excuses for not even taking the
photos.
