You nailed the lighting, Larry... maybe late afternoon light is the best
time for photoing black animals..
This cat doesn't seem to mind being held.. perhaps because he has
little time left :-( He doesn't -look- uncooperative

I have learned that there is an entire skill set to getting photos of cats,
they are no more cooperative when cameras are involved than they are at any
other time.
