We have had three relatively mild and sunny days here, and although the snow is still deep and solid where it was piled up by snow plows or snow shovels, most of the lawn and the area under the trees is finally free of snow. To my delight, a few early crocus appeared in full bloom. There are a lot fewer than usual so far, and not as many colors as last year, but perhaps the others will burst into bloom over the next few days. In any event, this is what was out there late this morning:
