A few days back I saw 9 juncos in my side yard, where I scatter seed. A couple of them let me get within 10 feet of them and I was able to get some decent shots.

He asked me to photograph him at an outdoor socially distanced show at a local winery last Friday. The one downside was that I didn’t have a designated driver so I couldn’t really capitalize on the very nice wine that was available. This one was lit by strings of lights, LEDs that it turns out flicker pretty strongly at, I’d guess 120 Hz. If you get the shutter speed wrong, bands of light and dark. If you use auto exposure, and it reads the exposure at the wrong part of the cycle, the whole thing is way over or way under exposed. If I go back, I’ll definitely bring some of my stage lights. He had Lauren Wahl come along to do a short set with her band, and she joined him on stage for quite a few songs.
