It's been a very long time since I used a Pentax (or even Ricoh) camera now. The 2003 vintage Olympus E-1 that has been my favorite DSLR (along with my three favorite E-System lenses) is still on the shelf, works fine, etc, but I rarely use DSLRs anymore. My last, and probably final, Pentax lens is the superlative Pentax-L 43mm f/1.9 Special which I use very happily on a Leica CL APS-C mirrorless body: it makes superb photographs. As soon as the new Hasselblad gets here, I'll be testing it out on that too… I expect it will cover the 33x33 sensor crop I'll be using very nicely. :)
100 years since Asahi Optical was founded? That's a lot of history. I celebrate any photographic company that can creditably trace their history back as far as a century … Photographic equipment has been a tumultuous, chaotic business. Bravo Pentax! Keep it going!
