Amusing article. I would love to read his comments on the Pentax in a year or two. "First blush" comments are rarely completely objective.
Personally, I'm long past using DSLRs. I actually like using my film SLRs, but DSLRs always seemed cumbersome to me. I've kept just one DSLR, my evergreen Olympus E-1, but I don't ever say "never" with regards to camera equipment. It'll probably go when I want to clear out the equipment cabinet since I haven't made any serious photographs with it in years. My last piece of Pentax gear is the lovely Pentax-L 43mm f/1.9 Limited lens … That 43mm Limited, in the end of my time using Pentax DSLRs, was my all-time favorite Pentax lens and I resisted hunting up one of these LTM mount specials until last year. It proves a delight to use this lens on the Leica M-D and Leica CL. :-) Leica CL + Pentax-L 43mm Limited: https://live.staticflickr.com/4910/30814443717_8f25b486aa_b.jpg G — "Equipment is transient.
