Nice read indeed. For myself, I am seriously looking into getting a Panasonic G9 with a few of the Leica zooms, it is just amazing what that technology can do these days, and the lenses are relatively small and light. That said, I will never part with my K1 (and K3) with 30+ Pentax lenses, the oldest from the mid seventies or so ...
