a different photo from those i usually post these days. this portait
was taken during my trek in the himalayas last november. i had posted
it then as a part of a gallery but presenting it as single b&w photo
now:

his name is Soup Singh and he owned the mules that transported our main
bags and stuf like rations and cooking utensils. we trekked about 65 km
overall over five days, going from 7000 ft to 14000 ft and descending
again to roughly 7000 ft.

on the sixth day he took leave of us early in the morning and he said
he was planning to go back to his village located at the start
of the trek, retracing the path we had taken over the previous five
days. i asked him when he expected to reach his village. he said "late
evening today". those guys are something else altogether. :)

k5iis and the DAL 55-300. comments appreciated.
