When I was a kid we lived a couple of years in Salonica, northern Greece. There was an organ grinder we saw several times on the street but rather than a monkey he came with a bear. I had nightmares about that bear climbing in my bedroom window and hiding under the bed waiting to get me. Never did like organ grinders after that.
