Thanks, Jack, Igor PJ and Larry. This one of the better shots from yesterday. Unfortunately, we saw no breeches, which are the real thrill and make the most dramatic images.
I worked on the image quickly, to get it out the same day, and will redo it to try to get better contrast and color. One problem is that there was some haze in the air from humidity, and that affects the clarity of distant objects, such as the West Maui Mountains in the background of this shot. >From a distance, the mountains do not show a vivid green, at least not on the Kona (leeward) or western side, which is quite dry. Actually, it is a bit greener than usual, as Maui had a wet fall and a rainy December. Thanks for looking and commenting.
