I just responded to David's e-mail, but I thought, I would have a separate
message with the warning in the Subject, since there are many people here
who have accounts on Photo.net
I'll repeat here:
I received two e-mails from photo.net this night/morning - a few hours
apart. Both were identical, mentioning my name, as it was used in
photo.net account. The message informed about policy change, and said that
I was subscribed and paid for the premium account.
1. I don't have a premium account, and I didn't pay anything, so,
the information is bogus.
2. Indeed, the email came from an address (and via server) in Finland, and
that confirmed my concerns.
3. Both messages have an attachment.
Do NOT open it. It is masqueraded as a ZIP-ed document, but it is a
JavaScript, - most likely a virus.
