It's coming along. I noticed late last year that I wasn't seeing things
at distance as well as i was used to, and wrote it off as needing a new
prescription. Then I was thirsty all the time, and over the course of a
couple of weeks my vision went bad enough that something 5 feet away was
a blur and looking at a computer screen was excruciatingly painful.
And it dawned on me that I was probably diabetic, which was the case.
I've been medicating for about a month, and my eyesight is passable, but
my blood sugar is controlled at about 16mg/l, about double what it
should be.
I have another blood test on Monday, another doctors visit on Friday,
and will probably have my medication increased.
Something I learned was that the high blood pressure med I was on
interfered with metformine. We got that fixed a week ago, and this week
I feel a lot better than the warm turd I've felt like since the end of
January.

Good luck with that. I was diagnosed prediabetic a couple years ago, and for the most part have been changing my diet etc. I've also been monitoring my blood sugar as well.

thanks
