Wow, there's a lot of distortion on that lens...

Hi All:

I had a great day with the lovely Jan & John Coyle! Really super time, and the
Coyles are absolutely lovely. Here’s a small gallery of the scene on Michigan Ave.,
which was flooded with Cubs fans. I got downtown a bit early to get some quick shots
before meeting the Coyles. Once we hooked up, we strolled the galleries at the art
museum. Then a quick stop at the Bean and then some pub-grub and a meet up with the
Sullivan’s. Great to see Lynn & Bob. I haven’t seen them in a long time. The best
shot in the gallery is the last one, which is a nice shot of the Coyles. I think
you’ll all agree their lovely spirit shines through!

Great to meet you guys!
Big cheers, Christine

Was a great success! Lovely afternoon with Christine, who met us
just after the big parade to celebrate the Cubs win in the World
Series (after 108 years!), then took us to the Art Institute for the
Impressionists, the photo gallery, and the miniatures. Afterwards,
to the Bean, the park and thence to the Elephant and Castle pub for
drinks and chat, where Bob and Lynn Sullivan joined us for
dinner.Thank you so much to Christine for being such a terrific guide
and great company, and to Bob and Lynn for making the effort to come
in (2-1/2 hours drive, normally 45 minutes!) and spend time us - it
was really appreciated by Jan and I.No photos for the PDML yet, but I
have posted one on Facebook - really crude conversion to BW from a
soft original - even the K5ii cannot deal with all my mistakes!
