Please keep us updated as to its status. My 20-40 is going to them next week and frankly they haven't fixed anything I have sent them yet. I honest to God hope they have improved some things. Pentax just moved its base of operations to New Jersey where their copier division is also based from. Precision is also in New Jersey. Here's the thing: I've heard a lot of mixed stories from Sony users about Precision. Some claim they had good service and others claim that they had terrible service and poor repairs. Overall it seems Sony is doing a better job with the same service center. It might be more of a problem with Ricoh than just precision. Look at parts. Precision seems to carry no spare parts so everything must be ordered from Japan which turns 1 month into 2 and then 3 if you need to send it back a few times. That's what happened to me and my k-3. Eventually Ricoh just replaced it. 3 times to Precision and every time it came back there were problems with metering and white balance. My 55-300 came back in worse shape than when I sent it in. Ricoh sent me another. I know Larry had his 16-50 come back with the hood threads misaligned. I'll pray for your 70-200. I'm really sad this happened to you.
