I haven't seen a lot of statesmanship by any world leader in the last 25
years so Britain should be any different?
I think this is a brilliant move on the new PM's part, truly
Machiavellian. She was against the Brexit, so if he fails she can say I
put their chief apologist in charge, she can say I told you so, and the
UK stays in the EU. If he succeeds she can take all the credit. Win
win for her, maybe not for Britain and the British people, but her
career is insulated and won't be completely destroyed.
