At a company as large as Apple, name collisions are common, even for people's
full first name last name combination. I had a co-worker who had the same
first and last name as four other people at Apple. They started putting their
department name as a middle name in the directory to try to make it easier to
be found (and get less email intended for their name doppelgänger)

Until recently, I had two people in my group at work named Mishal. (One of
them recently left for a startup) Neither one of them had ever encountered
someone with the same name before. There is no one else in all of Apple, even
internationally, with the name Mishal. And they both end up on my team.
Conveniently, they both did the same type of work, and had offices next door to
each other.
