Can you bring up the shadows a bit, and maybe drop the highlights a smidge. The shadow detail on the bird is a bit hard to see on my monitor.
The interplay of the bird and shadow is interesting, I'd also be interested in a much tighter crop that got rid of most of the shadow, maybe with the height just a little bigger than the dove, with the right 1/3 line running through the center of the dove.
