My daughter, Heidi, in 1983. Back then I frequently used a device called the Sof’ Shoulder. It was an umbrella that attached to the camera and to which a potato masher strobe, like my Honeywell 990, could be attached. it was a bit inconvenient, especially with the battery cords and heavy battery for the strobe, but it produced very nice results, IMO.
I printed an 18 x12 of this for Heidi. Nice and sharp.
