I hvae two settings on the Kodak projector - I never used it on
bright... but I might be able to get one of those longlasting cooler
bulbs that fit - that would be the perfect solution.

slide projectors require very bright bulbs, and since the bulbs are
incandescent that means a lot of heat; your low-head options with
traditional projection would be a dimmer bulb or a suitable LED bulb
that fits slide projectors; i'm not sure the latter even exist, since
