I was wondering about that myself.... Since pixel shift does not work with flash I'd need to make some changes to my current workflow. I rely on flash to illuminate the subjects. Two advantages there - first the flash freezes the subject (it is amazing how much vibration becomes evident at high magnifications) and second because of the sheer amount of light needed due to the light loss from the extension tubes and also from the need to use low ISO's. I try to shoot at ISO 100 since focus stacking also seems to stack noise as well. When I have tried to go up to ISO 400 even, the noise in the final combined image gets to be very noticeable.

I might try to work to resolve those issues - continuous lighting would make set up a lot easier.

I would be very interested to see what difference pixel shift would make with Mark's super macros.

I had about a 24hr period where I didn't get PDML mail and I don't
think anything I sent was posted, so this is a resend. Apologies if it
is a duplicate.
