I went through this recently when my my wife was email/transferring images to me from her phone that she wanted me to print. I looked at the first batch and said : “send me larger files.” She said: “Huh?” It took me awhile but I found that on our phones (iPhone 5), there is a Small, Medium, Large, and Actual Size option for emailing photos. The default is Small, and it took me a bit of poking around to find how to over-ride the default.
