There were comments about that happening on early units on various Fora, no one I've ever had contact with had it happen until now. Supposedly that's been "fixed" in the K-5II and later cameras.

Had my first problem with the K-5: The lens-release button came off and vanished into the Devon countryside some time yesterday morning. I now need to use the end of the corkscrew on my Swiss army knife to change lenses. A minor inconvenience in the long run, I suppose, but it is annoying. (I've been shooting with the 12-24 and the 55-300 pretty much exclusively.)
