So for quite some time now I've been debating the merits of buying an
extra-ultra wide angle lens. Since going digital the only really wide
lens I've been using is my old K 17mm f4.0 fisheye, which is kinda like
a having a 24mm lens on a 35mm film body but with just incredible barrel
distortion, but not fish eye.
I've been debating getting the 15mm f4 the 14mm f2.8 one of the Zooms
either the Pentax 12-24 or one of the Sigma Zooms. The Samyang 10mm is
really very tempting, but I'm not sure that I'd use it enough to justify
it's rather steep price, especially as it's quite bulky and I've been
trying very hard to keep the lenses in my kit as small as possible.
It hasn't helped that I've spent the last few years pretty broke.
Well now B&H photo has the Samyang 14mm f2.8 in Bower livery for only
about $260. Pretty much every review I've read about it says it's an
awesome lens for the price, and at this price I almost have to get one.
