You are making a big mistake Ann. King is much more than a horror story author. He is a powerful writer, and a great story teller. In particular, I recommend "11/22/63," a thoughtful and inventive time travel tale about trying to stop the assassination of JFK. I also really enjoyed "Mr Mercedes, which is more of a police procedural thriller than a horror story. "Misery," "The Shining," The Green Mile," and "The Shawshank Redemption" are all great stories and well worth reading, in my judgment. Then there is "On Writing," a marvelous non-fiction book about the art of writing and the life of the writer.
