I was using the timer, which turns off SR automatically. The effective FOV is closer to 2350mm (4.7x magnification with the Q7 and Q-S1) and this lens just isn't that sharp in the first place, so it's not something I'm going to actually use. I might, however, try it with the M* 300 when the Blue Angels are in town next month. 1410mm may be a little too much to hand-hold, though. ;) > Also curious as to the brand of adapter you are using. Thx! It was this one by Fotodiox: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006NQ9T34. I also got their 110-to-Q adapter. Both adapters work fine, though they can be a tiny bit difficult to mount and remove from the Q body. The K-to-Q adapter has a ring that can adjust the lens aperture, which is a must. Since Auto 110 lenses don't have apertures built in (nor does the Q body), it's fortunate that the 110-to-Q adapter is just the right size to accept Lensbaby aperture disks. I haven't had a chance to experiment with either setup very much, but I hope to soon.
