I was using the timer, which turns off SR automatically. The effective
FOV is closer to 2350mm (4.7x magnification with the Q7 and Q-S1) and
this lens just isn't that sharp in the first place, so it's not
something I'm going to actually use. I might, however, try it with the
M* 300 when the Blue Angels are in town next month. 1410mm may be a
little too much to hand-hold, though. ;)

I also got their 110-to-Q adapter. Both adapters work fine, though
they can be a tiny bit difficult to mount and remove from the Q body.
The K-to-Q adapter has a ring that can adjust the lens aperture, which
is a must. Since Auto 110 lenses don't have apertures built in (nor
does the Q body), it's fortunate that the 110-to-Q adapter is just the
right size to accept Lensbaby aperture disks. I haven't had a chance
to experiment with either setup very much, but I hope to soon.
