I don't know where it is coming from, but I have (what is for ME) a ridiculous amount of page views this evening of my Flickr images and the referrer is "Flickr". We are only about 3 hours into the Flickr "day" and I have over 800 views and most of them are coming in, not on a particular IMAGE, but on my generic Photostream page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/
Ordinarily, I would think that I had an image put in Flickr "Explored", but that would result in traffic to a particular image, not just the general stream URL. The tool at http://bighugelabs.com/scout.php doesn't show that anything recent has been "Explored" and no one is leaving comments or favorites, so it seems like sort of a "drive-by" visit, like a mention in their Flickr Twitter account or something, but I can find no evidence of that (so far either). It is kind of driving me nuts. Oh well. If anyone has any insights (or guesses) feel free to pass them along. -- Photographers must learn not to be ashamed to have their photographs look like photographs. ~ Alfred Stieglitz -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
