Yes, I have the same feeling about Central Camera, but I'm not even sure they are carrying much new cameras. A few months ago I thought for sure I'd be able to play with the Fuji x10, but they didn't have any in stock, which greatly surprised me. I thought for sure they'd have Fuji stuff.
I don't want to see brick and mortar stores to go away, but I have to say I find that often I go to a store looking for something, can't find it, and the sales clerk says I should go to the store's web site and I'd be able to order it online. When the consumer hears that enough, they start staying home to do their shopping at the computer, which doesn't help brick and mortar sales. Seems to me a new business model is needed, some kind of hybrid approach that is healthy for online and brick and mortar sales--as well as helpful to the consumer.
