That pic was taken about 1/2 way through the snowfall. Total in our end of town about the same as you: 6-8 inches.
Tonight huge winds and low temps make for a cold midnight commute home. Feels like -25C - somewhere below 0F. Cold for March. Don't know about records but it has been the coldest, snowiest winter since I moved to Toronto 19 years ago. Reminds me of my younger days in Montreal. Doesn't bother me though.
