I think you've added meaning to my comments that's not there. I said that the 
woman is a hero for her conduct during WW II. I paid tribute to the English 
people and Churchill for their bravery, courage and pure guts as they waited 
for my country to come to their side. No country or people is perfect. There 
are too many variables. Colonialism is something that is not lost on America 
(The Colonies) or India or Israel etc. But the woman was courageous. It took 
great courage to continue normal life during WW II. The history of every 
country is filled with the good, the bad and the hidden. I'm not interested 
in listing history's failures. Here I pay tribute to the people of The 
British Empire during their finest hour. Today former enemies walk side by 
side. Yesterday we could have lost it all. We didn't because the "Brits" held 
the line until America had the good sense and Pearl Harbor to do the right 
thing. 
Think, had we not had the "Brits" et. al. we'd be driving Japanese and German 
cars; watching Japanese televisions and using Pentax Cameras (thread).
