I think you've added meaning to my comments that's not there. I said that the woman is a hero for her conduct during WW II. I paid tribute to the English people and Churchill for their bravery, courage and pure guts as they waited for my country to come to their side. No country or people is perfect. There are too many variables. Colonialism is something that is not lost on America (The Colonies) or India or Israel etc. But the woman was courageous. It took great courage to continue normal life during WW II. The history of every country is filled with the good, the bad and the hidden. I'm not interested in listing history's failures. Here I pay tribute to the people of The British Empire during their finest hour. Today former enemies walk side by side. Yesterday we could have lost it all. We didn't because the "Brits" held the line until America had the good sense and Pearl Harbor to do the right thing. Think, had we not had the "Brits" et. al. we'd be driving Japanese and German cars; watching Japanese televisions and using Pentax Cameras (thread).
