Hi, what about Duotone or Tritone B&W printing? I have heard it recommended with regular colour printers to get better B&W performance. It will take some time to get it right of course, but should get decent results. Duotone or Tritone is a process using of converting a grayscale image into colour image, similar to traditional split-tone in wet darkroom. See the photoshop's help on it. IMHO it will, after the initial trial and error, produce better results than letting the program do printing from grayscale in RGB without any adjustments.
