When SpamCop was black-listing RoadRunner, I switched over to Yahoo.

In order be able to receive PDML using Pop3 & Thunderbird, I had to sign up for a paid Yahoo account. It wasn't a whole lot of money for the basic account, but there's still the principle that I'm now PAYING for Yahoo email.

Yahoo apparently filters OUTGOING email.

When I read PDML, if I try to respond to too many messages in one session (where "too many" appears to be the number *3*) I get some stupid error about "resources are not available, try again later".

Except that the message doesn't get saved in drafts so that I can try again later, it just disappears forever.

My turn, now.

I'm having to temporarily use the (multiple expetives deleted) awful
webmail interface of my provider. This went to some gmail subsytem a
while ago. Messages to PDML are not appearing to me unless someone
answers them; then I see the quote.

The only options for message encoding are "use default" (without
defining what that default is) and "use unicode ft-8", which is what I
have it set to. I think this is not a message encoding issue,
however: I seem to remember that there should be some option for
setting messages that are sent to mail lists to show. But it doesn't
appear to be there. Anyone any idea where I should be looking?

If not, does anyone have any idea about manually importing old data
into Thunderbird? I went from XP to Ubuntu - the auto import does not
want to work and if I try to import the address book file and inbox
folder manually, it stops T'bird working. If I had any wit at all, I
would be at the end of it.
