that guy's got some balls to stand there like that. The first time I was in Ethiopia I went to the outside of one town to watch hyenas in the evening. I squatted by the side of the car the took us there, trying (unsuccessfully) to get available light photos of them coming in from the bush. I hadn't realised how close they would come, otherwise I'd have stayed in the car, but one of them passed within 2 metres of me. It really smelled very bad indeed, but I'm surprised it couldn't smell my fear. I've never felt my hackles rise, or felt such a rush of adrenaline as when that thing sauntered past. I'm sure I would have moved if it had come towards me the way that lion comes towards the photographer. Incredible animals. I like his trick of using 3 beanbags.
