No, a kit car isn't the real thing,  but the number two through 99 Cobras built 
by Shelby are the real thing, as are the number two through four batmobiles 
built by Barris. Assuming there's such a thing as a "real" batmobile, which is 
difficult since all of its features are mere decoration.
