Dont know about sears lenses, but Ive read that ricoh "P" lenses get stuck on pentax af bodies.

From what I gather, Sears K-mount lenses generally have an extra pin that sometimes causes them to get stuck when mounted on Pentax bodies. I've seen some instructions for removing that pin, and wonder if anyone can offer advice before I decide to tackle the chore. Also, are Ricoh K-mount lenses fairly decent glass? Are they generally worth the trouble? Any guidance would be appreciated.
